Recommendations for Reusable Containers for Takjil Snacks

Takjil snacks are one of the traditions that Muslims always look forward to before the Maghrib call to prayer. Starting from light to heavy food, it is still the target of Muslims and DKP friends. However, behind this tradition, many takjil packages are still wrapped in single-use plastic.

So, to avoid single-use plastic, we can, DKP friends, bring reusable containers when snacking on takjil. Come on, follow some tips from GIDKP!

1. Use your cool tumbler, OK?

Tumblers or reusable drinking bottles can be used to buy takjil, which contains sauce or water, DKP friends. The tumbler has a very trendy design and complements your style, too. Also, if the takjil you buy doesn’t run out, it will be easier to put it in the refrigerator to enjoy again.

Fruit, compote, coconut, and grass jelly ice can also be recommendations for takjil that you can buy using a tumbler, DKP friends. Wow, I can’t wait to break the fast.

2. Bring food from home

Whatever takjil you buy, don’t forget to bring food from home, DKP friends! We can better care for our health by getting your place to eat. Single-use plastics contain microplastic particles which are carcinogenic or can cause cancer. So, can you imagine how many microplastic particles will be released if freshly cooked food is wrapped in single-use plastic? Terrible.

By bringing a place to eat from home, we don’t have to move the takjil we bought when we get home.

3. Bamboo baskets could be an option

Are you bored with the same food containers? Bamboo baskets could be an option. Bamboo baskets can be combined with leaves as a food base. After being used as a food container, bamboo baskets can be used repeatedly or for other things such as jewelry containers or kitchen spice containers.

If the bamboo basket is damaged, it can be thrown away immediately. Because it is an organic material, bamboo baskets can decompose naturally in nature. So no more waste will accumulate from using bamboo baskets.

4. Remember Your Reusable Bag!

If you have brought a reusable container to buy takjil, a reusable bag is also one of the things on your list that you should remember when snacking on takjil. The reusable bag you use doesn’t have to be expensive, DKP friends; the important thing is that it is big enough to carry your shopping and can be used repeatedly.
