Reuse Movement

Reuse Movement is a program initiated by Plasticdiet Indonesia to create a reuse ecosystem as a solution to replace single-use plastic. Reuse is not only about finding replacements for single-use items, but also about how to build a proper system that involves producers, distributors, consumers, and the existing waste management system. Reuse system is also considered as a low-emission system, which can contribute to climate change mitigation.

Plasticdiet Indonesia is PR3 Reusable Packaging System Standards Panel members . Along with other organizations, this panel develops and tests reuse standards that can be applied in any setting.

Plasticdiet Indonesia is also actively encouraging reuse as a solution to combat plastic pollution in Global Plastic Treaty. We also have prepared policy recommendations regarding reuse solution in the Intergovernmental Negotiation Committee 2 process which is expected to become a recommendation to the representative of the Republic of Indonesia.
